I’ve just updated my Humax 9150T PVR and it seems to have worked like a charm.
Initially, I got an error message, E-OS, but again searching the trusted internet, I found out that I had to reset to default setting first.
Over The Air (OTA) software update is done automatically overnight on the night when the update is being broadcast as long as your PVR is on standby and neither on nor off.
Sometimes this doesn’t work so you have to do it manually.
If you don’t know how to do this, here is the sequence. It’s probably similar for the other Humax PVRs that need updating.
Go to MENU => Installation (default password is 0000)
Then Installation => DEFAULT SETTING
Once the the system is reset to its default setting, again go to MENU => Installation and then => SOFTWARE UPDATE
A box will pop up to say that a new software update is available and ask if you want to install it. Press OK and that should do the trick.
Voila, you have now installed your OTA software update!
